Michael Zegen to Star Off-Broadway in ‘Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice’

Michael Zegen, who plays Joel Maisel in 鈥淭he Marvelous Mrs. Maisel,鈥� has been cast in the world premiere off-Broadway production of 鈥淏ob & Carol & Ted & Alice.鈥�

Based on Paul Mazursky鈥檚 1969 movie that starred Elliott Gould, Natalie Wood, Dyan Cannon and Robert Culp, it鈥檚 about two couples and the sexual revolution.

Duncan Sheik鈥檚 musical adaptation will play Feb. 4-Mar. 15 at the Pershing Square Signature Theater in New York. Zegen will play Ted, Gould鈥檚 role in the film.

The show is not Zegen鈥檚 first off-Broadway experience. He starred in the original production of the comedy 鈥淏ad Jews鈥� in 2014. On screen, he鈥檒l star opposite Drew Barrymore and Ellie Kemper in the movie 鈥淭he Stand In,鈥� about an actress who trades places with her set double. It hits theaters Jan. 1.
