Before Thanksgiving, Wilshire Boulevard Temple helps the hungry and the homeless. Volunteers assemble 1,000 complete dinners-for-four and distribute them on the spot to some of the city’s most underprivileged families. A $25 donation provides a grocery bag containing Thanksgiving dinner for four. There also will be activities for kids. Kehillat Israel seeks volunteers to shop, cook, decorate, serve and/or socialize at its annual Thanksgiving visit to the residents of Turning Point Traditional Housing.
