A Chabad rabbi was stabbed multiple times near a 91传媒 day school in the Boston area on July 1.
According to , the suspect pulled a firearm on the rabbi, Shlomo Noginski, in front of Shaloh House 91传媒 Day school in Brighton, Mass. Noginski attempted to flee to the park across the street, prompting the suspect to stab Noginski multiple times. The suspect was subsequently arrested, and Noginski is currently in stable condition at the hospital with multiple stab wounds in his arm.

鈥淲e are all very shaken by what happened and ask for you to please keep Rabbi Noginski in your prayers,鈥� Shaloh House Director Rabbi Don Rodkin said in a statement. 鈥淲e are heartened by the outpouring of concern and compassion we have received in just the last hours since the incident.鈥� Rodkin also said Noginski was in 鈥済ood spirits.鈥�
Anti-Defamation League New England Regional Director Robert Trestan said in a statement that the stabbing 鈥渉as sent a shockwave of fear and anxiety throughout the community. We pray for the recovery of Rabbi Shlomo Noginski.鈥� He also called for 鈥渇ull transparency so that the community gets answers as to why a 91传媒 rabbi was stabbed outside of his house of worship.鈥�

The school, which currently has a summer school program ongoing, was put on lockdown after the stabbing occurred. The school parents that none of the children were in danger, but a mother of one of the students CBS Boston, 鈥�91传媒 education is important to us, but I also don鈥檛 want to have a target on our backs 鈥� As a mom, I鈥檓 very scared.鈥�

The investigation into the attack remains ongoing and a motive has not yet been disclosed.
